In 1994, Ford switched to their next evolution of diesel engine with the direct injected 7.3L Powerstroke with HEUI fuel system that introduced a new horse power and torque level to compete with the Dodge Cummins trucks. BD has many options to choose from for performance upgrades and add-ons.

It has been 30 years since we started shipping our first exhaust brakes. With that many hill and mountain roads experienced, we used the knowledge gained to continue to deliver the best designed exhaust brake for your application. The mechanical butterfly valves create great retarding performance and is a great fit for pre-variable vane turbocharged trucks or for those whom swapped out for a performance turbo and still want exhaust brake functionality. For older variable vane turbocharged engines, we have electronic controls to turn your turbo into an exhaust brake much like the newer vehicles have.
