The Dodge Ram transition into the second generation body style of truck and with that also came the next major change with the Cummins 5.9L diesel engine with the wastegated turbocharger and Bosch P7100 inline pump, plus, the next generation of transmission with torque converter lock-up functions of the 47 series transmission. Still a favorite of Dodge Cummins enthusiasts, the 1994-1998 12-valve has lots of options for upgrades to the turbo, fuel system and transmission.
