The Killer Grid Heater Upgrade Kit is purpose-built to address a major flaw in the 6.7L Cummins engine that can result in total engine destruction. The problem lies in the electrical connection to the intake grid heater. When powering the grid heater, 200 amps pass through a small bolt and nut inside the intake and, over time, is known to deteriorate and eventually arc and break off. This nut drops into the engine, leading to extensive damage to the piston, head, and valves. Several solutions are currently on the market addressing this issue, but they are costly upgrades. They drastically reduce the heat available to the engine and typically require tuning, or they don't work well in cold climates. This kit upgrades that flawed electrical circuit by eliminating the problematic bolts and nuts inside the intake while retaining the stock functionality of the heater, and it is cost-effective and easy to install.

Very easy install
Fast shipping, excellent service!
It’s a very good upgrade to prevent a major engine failure. I did two of them on a 2019 Ram. Average time is was about 5.5 hours. It is an awkward job though. The electrical connectors on the engine can be time consuming to figure out as they almost all have locks on them, they are all different and you certainly don’t want to break them. You might find a 19 mm flex flare nut wrench, a stubby 19 mm and crows foot handy to have. As a suggestion the mod could include some caps to cover the fuel rail ports, I used tape.
Looks great Looking forward to installing it
